A one time teacher of English and Drama, Brian worked in commercial radio for seven years before moving into consultancy. In his time at Piccadilly Radio, he won a Sony Award for ‘Best Educational Programme’, played ninety minutes against George Best, raised £10,000 for charity by running the London Marathon in 3 hours 28 minutes and helped make everyone he worked with become rich and famous.
He is not bitter, though, as he thoroughly enjoys the world of PR and in his eleven years with Havas PR PR (the second time around) he has helped its Manchester and Edinburgh offices become both hugely successful and highly regarded.
Brian is a mentor for Manchester Metropolitan University’s PR Masters’ students and a guest lecturer on the course. He is also a regular contributor to television and radio. Brian lives in Hale, Cheshire and has one son.
